Adelaide Times General Paper Office Adopts New Display

An aged newspaper notice advertises the Adelaide Times General Paper Office and its claim of superior letter press printing services. It notes a large stock of printing materials and office premises opposite the Adelaide Commercial Exchange, listing lead pipes, sheet lead, zinc, paints, varnishes, brushes, and 300 boxes of loss at 21s each.

Notice to Farmers Improver Milton Stallion Sale

Notice to farmers advising that the stallion Improver Milton will stand at the undersigned farm Meadows. Milton, imported from Van Diemen's Land, with lineage through Gli Lincoln Ajax and Old Duncan Gray. He won first class prize at the Midland Agricultural Show Campbell Town 1845 and Judges Certificate as best cart stallion 1846, plus prize at Mone Barker Show March 1850. Terms two guineas and a half per mare plus foal payable January 1851.

Egremont Wins Lanmeeston St Ledger at Oatlands

Egremont, bred Just Trypouted from Van Diemens Land, ridden by Old Little John, by Wanderer, out of Miss Grizsle, defeats seven rivals in the Lanmeeston St Ledger. Earlier in the year he won the Government Pleat Oatlands beating Coro not Amelia and another. Terms unchanged from Milton. Meadows July 1 1850. Mares paddocked fourteen days free of expense then two shillings weekly.

Cantab, the Thoroughbred Sold to Mr George Coppin

Cantab a six year old brown thoroughbred stallion imported from England and South Wales by H J Kater is sold to Mr George Coppin. The horse stands sixteen hands one inch and has proven a sure foal getter with stock well known. Terms are two pounds nine shillings ninepence sixpence pro amage. James Chambers announces the sale on July 22, 1850.

Sampson Stallion to Stand at Adelaide Venues This Season

Shape bone and strength describe Sampson the superior stallion. He will stand this season at the Tindimarsh Bridge Hotel and every Saturday afternoon at the Black Bull Hindley Street Adelaide. Dhosilay and other venues host with Mr Brulys Gross Koya New Inc Dry Creek. Sampson, a three year old cart horse, won first prize at Cappet Town. Terms two pounds two shillings per year, payment by the third of January 1851.
