The Adelaide Times Office offers new and splendid type just received and is prepared to print newspapers execute book-work or perform any description of letter-press printing in a style equal or superior to any office in the colony. Terms defy competition. Opposite the Adelaide Commercial Exchange.
A long declarative letter from a prospective candidate for the New Legislative Council, likely in 1861, outlining views on public education, church-state relation, universal male franchise after a year residency, opposition to official nominees, ballot voting, and election term length. He stresses commitment to public welfare, economic policy, and reform, and places himself at the electors' disposal.
The Adelaide letter from G S Kingston dated 12 March 1851 refutes a newspaper advertisement claiming he consented to join the Local Committee to secure the return of G C Hawker for Stanley and Gawler. Kingston states the ad is incorrect, says he was never consulted, would have declined, and asks for his name to be withdrawn.
The document lists fire insurance premiums for different building classes. It covers stone or brick structures with various roof types, wooden and weatherboard buildings, detached properties, and goods or furniture in shops or dwellings.
