A long requisition from Adelaide residents asks George Young and many others to stand as candidates for divisions of Adelaide. The letter promises support if candidates share liberal principles, and outlines a committee structure and local meetings. A. H. Davis submits a reply declaring commitment to municipal reform and opposition to Nomineeism, with offers of explanation of policies.
A long requisition from Freeholders of Stanley, Gawler, and the Northern Runs urges William Younghusband of Crystal Brook to stand for the New Legislative Assembly. The document praises his knowhow and independence and promises active support for his candidature, dated Adelaide 3rd March 1851. A subsequent response from Younghusband outlines his views on education, voting rights, ballot secrecy, and council duration, and pledges constant service if elected. The notice closes with a call for signatures to John Baker and a separate note announcing the Mol Barker Agricultural Association annual exhibition with premium prizes and show rules.
