He claims weeks of improvement enabling walking with ease, plus healed wounds by pills and ointment. He cites Peninsula War service and Waterloo, then promotes Holloway products through London and Adelaide outlets.

At a March 1 1851 public meeting in Maclaren Vale the Willunga District Road Commissioners faced censure for enforcing the old land tax rate. A unanimous plan to deny the debt and resist summonses was adopted, with a fund to cover defending expenses and a four member committee to manage it. Treasurer Mr Land and committee members Norman Lovelock Oliver and Balderstone were appointed.
In Adelaide the Anti-Transportation Committee at Mr Neales's office resolved to publish an advertisement urging public South Australian subscriptions to cover costs for obtaining signatures to the Memorials. The Secretary was tasked to publicize and collect funds, with letters planned to W Westgarth and Gilbert Wright about delegation and petitions being sent to Sydney.
