Revival of Ontario junior farmers judging at the Canadian National Exhibition drew 225 juniors for hivewinele judging and about seventy for grain root fruit and vegetable judging over two days. Contests split into senior (under 26) and junior (16 to 20) groups with local winners in sheep swine beef cattle grain and roots. Local standouts included Doug Currie and John Currie in sheep, Fraser McNabb in swine, and S. R. Griffin in beef cattle and grain.

Scout and Guide Mothers Association Holds Fall Meeting
The Scout and Guide Mothers Association held its first fall meeting on September 9 at Mrs. F. Gibbons home with eleven members attending. Sylvia Jones provided the secretary's report and Lil Bradshaw gave the financial report. Mrs. Betty Footit was chosen to represent the association at Scout Committee meetings. Plans were discussed to raise funds. Mrs. Gibbons with Mrs. Woods and Mrs. Stuckey served lunch.

Two Cars Damaged in Intersection Collision Last Friday
Police report two cars were damaged in a collision at the intersection of the third concession and number 5 sideroad last Friday evening. Lorne Evans of Acton and Milton drove south toward Milton while W. A. Marshall of Milton traveled east. Both vehicles were moving cautiously as a car and truck had halted at the intersection. Evans suffered $200 damage to the right side. Marshall’s front was less affected. Provincial Constable Alex McNiven investigated.
