Ontario Hydro rejects excess power fears with new figures
The Ontario Hydro Commission releases a statement addressing Mr. Hepburn's comments on excess power. It argues figures were misrepresented and shows that end of last year capacity was 1 760 052 horsepower, with peak load under 1 585 000 and actual demands at 1 289 267. The commission says unused power in 1937 will not reach 1 000,000 horsepower unless multiple unlikely events occur.
