Death of Thomas Elbage Pioneer Pump Maker in Acton
Thomas Elbage died last Friday morning after a twelve year illness. Born in Quebec, he lived in Acton with his father the late Capt. Elbage for over sixty years. A pump maker and operator of a planing mill, he faced misfortune but remained cheerful and active, serving as a faithful Methodist and trusted community member. Survived by his wife, mother, twelve children, and many friends, his funeral was held Tuesday at Walnlow Cemetery with a large turnout from local families and neighbors.
