The Erin Township Municipal Council met in Hillsburg on October 18 1937. All members attended except Neil E B McKinnon. By law 11 imposed 3 percent tax penalties after December 1 1937 and a monthly penalty thereafter. unpaid taxes due April 1 1938 to be turned over to the County Treasurer. By law 12 increased borrowing at Royal Bank Hillsburg by 5000 dollars. The County Treasurer was asked to forward all funds due Erin Township to the Township Treasurer. By law 0 amended reducing the amount raised for municipal purposes to 10834.82 to align with government subsidies. Agnes Sommerville received eight dollars for relief rent. Amounts paid included 39.75 for sheep destroyed by dogs, 27.38 for relief, 2874.36 for roads, and 118.04 for miscellaneous items. The council adjourned to meet November 15 1937 at 10 am.
