Married Fifty Years in Acton Golden Anniversary
Mr and Mrs William Kenney observed fifty years of marriage at their home on Go Chirch Street with well wishes from Toronto Acton and Dresden friends. They were wed in Kilbride in a double ceremony where Mr and Mrs L G Matthews also married. Mrs Matthews attended the anniversary but Mr Matthews died about thirty eight years ago. Many Acton friends and relatives called to extend congratulations as the couple, who have lived in Acton since their marriage, were celebrated upon Mrs Henney's retirement earlier this year.

Five Horses Die in Guelph Barn Fire
Five horses were destroyed and hay stored in the mow fed the blaze that damaged the Canaidian Cartage and Storage Company barns on Preston Street in Guelph early Sunday. The fire began in the mow and spread before an alarm was raised.

The Elwood Hall sale in Pikington Township last week showed rising farm prices. Stock was in good condition and brought satisfactory prices. A pair of Herchanin colts, one year old, sold for 223 dollars. Forty hogs were sold with strong prices. Br Kerr led the sale.

In a Monday night crash just north of Hallimfad two cars collided after one ran out of gas. Stewart Mino died almost instantly. N Riddell suffered head injuries. Coroner Dr G L M Stuart has opened an inquest in Guelph for October 22. Funeral services in Georgetown Greenwood Cemetery.

Serious collision at Esquering Township corner injures seven
A heavy fruit truck owned by A Restivo of Milton and a car driven by J Craine of Terra Cotta collided at the No 5 sldt road and second line intersection. Restivo suffered cuts and an injured leg. his son Charles was badly cut. Craine and Mrs Craine, Miss Cairns and others sustained facial and head injuries. Five occupants were taken for treatment by Dr G K Stevenson. Constable George Cookman investigated.

Cyclist Injured In Georgetown Training Ride
Johnny Emmerson a Georgetown rider suffered a deep cut over his right eye when he was thrown from his bicycle during a Thanksgiving training ride by Georgetown Wings Wheelers Club members D Riddall and A Kean. A stray horse bolted on Young Street Acton causing the accident as Emmerson rode behind Riddall and struck his front wheel. He was taken to Dr W G Cullen's office for treatment after the bicycle was wrecked and the wagon involved belonged to Mfr Y S Weadge who was on his garbage round.
