Milton disappointed as Ontario board limits annexation
The Ontario Municipal Board narrowed Milton's annexation from Oakville and Esquesing to 2148 of 2680 acres sought, delaying remainder pending Tom Plunkett's study in Halton. The decision draws protest from Milton councillors and notes a past land shortfall as grounds for rejection. An auction and local edition of the Champion followed the ruling.

Residents in Glen Williams welcome a two lane bridge and river rechanneling by the county and Credit Valley Conservation Authority. The project replaces a one lane bridge and aims to reduce ice jams and future floods by restoring the Diver Course to its original channel.
