Acton Council Considers Band Tax By Law And Fire Brigade Requests
Acton Council met and discussed a by law to levy a band tax of half a mill funded from ratepayers to support the Acton band, uniforms, and future leadership. The fire brigade sought two members trained in firefighting at Toronto University, a hall room for meetings, and library space. Council approved one firefighter to attend the university course and agreed to consider brigade needs.
