Changes In Hockey Rules At The Forty Fourth Annual Convention
The Ontario Hockey Association adopted ten minute overtime in all series and added rule changes to enable forward passing in all zones with limits on body checking. The original aggressor faces suspension, and referees must report fights to the association. Fees are set for various series with mileage, and two referees may be used if clubs agree. Inquest Adjourned Over Mrs Estabrook Death
The inquest into Mrs. Thomas Estabrook’s death from a car accident on October 23 was held at Lowville Village Hall. Coroner H H A McColl led witnesses called by Crown Attorney W I Dick. the jury returned an accidental death verdict and exonerated both drivers.

Acton Public Utilities Commission Holds Regular Meeting
The Acton Public Utilities Commission met last night with Commissioners Kerr King and Thetford present. They received a Hydro Commission accounts disposal notice and a letter from the C N R about changing water service at the station and installing a smaller service. The Superintendent was directed to obtain metres and supplies. Mr H N Farmer asked for a pole relocation in front of his property to ease driveway access. The Secretary was instructed to pay listed Hydro Department and Hydro Electric Power Commission of Ontario accounts for October.
