Mistook CNR Train For Approaching Car Crash
Two Peterborough men in a 1984 Ford, Richard Alan Godies and George Beaumont, escaped injury when their car veered off Main Street North in North Peterborough. It traveled 250 feet, crashed through a snow fence, hit a telephone pole, and spun onto a lawn near Phil LaSueur’s home. Rashard Gadfrey reported seeing a westbound train and misjudging its approach.
