Eighty Pound Lamb Tops Market at Quebec Lamb Fair
At a Quebec lamb fair organized by the County Agriculturist with Federal Live Stock Branch cooperation, 187 of 250 lambs were first quality. Lambs, mostly ewes and wethers, priced 700 to 100 pounds each, averaging 65 pounds per head. The remaining stock, described as small and unfinished, hovered around 60 pounds with prices one to two pounds lower.
