Constable George Moore notes deer are increasing in Halton area. Three deer were struck and killed by cars on three consecutive nights near Brown's corner on a highway east of Acton. Another incident occurred Monday near Palermo on Highway 25 north.

Year's First Accident Due to Ice Friday
The first accident in this area due to icy road conditions was reported Friday evening on Highway to a mile east of Acton. A new car driven by Ernest Sparks of Toronto, traveling east, skidded on ice, crossed into the north ditch and rolled onto its roof. Constable Go Moore estimated damage between $600 and $700. No injuries were reported.
