Remembrance Day Service in Acton Observes Two Minute Silence

A large Acton crowd memorialized World War dead with two minutes of silence led by Legion members. Wreaths were laid by the town’s officials and groups including the Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, Firefighters, Lions, Orange Lodge, Scouts, unions, and local organizations. Canonical hymns, Abide With Me, and prayers filled Knox Church, as 98 year old C. K. Browne laid the I.O.L. wreath, and Rev. A. H. McKenzie urged charity in remembrance.
