Georgetown trustees approve a 62.86 mill rate for residential and 82.41 for commercial property up from last year, with a $54.68 refund offsetting some tax burden. In Milton, a first baby buffalo born in Halton County draws reporters at Rattlesnake Point Park, while Fergus faces policy shifts by the Grand River Conservation Authority on cottages and a looming 15 mill tax rise amid Vocational Wing costs and new county boards talk led by Education Minister William Davis.
