Canada to launch seventh census on June 1
The seventh Canadian census begins June 1 with 25 000 officers and up to 15 000 enumerators planned to survey households, farms, and farm products across half the continent. Ottawa will add 750 clerks to compile results with a two and a half million dollar budget this year and 235 000 for equipment.

Kennedy Honored At Acton Credit District Meeting
Frank Kennedy of Acton was appointed District Deputy Grand Master for 1031 32 at a meeting of the Independent Order of Oddfellows spanning Acton Georgetown Thampton and Milton. Winners were announced in rug giveaways by local stores including C B Swackhamer and Johnstone Rumbey’s. A Georgetown Creamery fire caused 6000 damage. Mrs Elizabeth Mary Summerville of Georgetown died, funeral at Greenwood Cemetery. The Women’s Institute held its Summer Meeting in Acton with speakers from Guelph and Limehouse.
