Esquesing sees record April in building permits
Esquesing Township issued building permits totaling over a million dollars in April, a monthly record. The largest was 86000 for a Kroke wert stainless steel tank factory on Lot One Fourth Concession. Most others were new houses with garages priced 13000 to 31000, with a garage permit for Guy Cartage of Acton costing 30500 on Lot 29 Second Concession. Council feared a spring funding rush and noted trends toward slower summer house-building to avoid school crowding. Some townships allow 10 acre lots but restrict building on them.
