Increased Entry at Halton Seed Fair and Bacon Show
Seventy two Halton exhibitors filed 322 entries at the Walton Seed Fair and Bacon Show held in Milton Town Hall. Highlights included five Junior Farmer Clubs with top awards for Milton Acton Norval Striking Palermo and Brookville displays. Open Show champion was M T McNabb & Sons for Red Clover Seed while Norval Club produced the most entries. County measures promote farm pond subsidies and reforestation with Ontario support and local buyouts of county land for future conservation.

Thousands of women are being trained in Home Nursing by the Red Cross to care for families during illness. The Volunteer Nursing Service operates a Loan Cupboard lending sick room equipment on doctor recommendation, as Ontario campaigns for a $2,192,000 fund starting March 1.
