County Council Grants to Red Cross and Regimental Funds

Halton County Council approved payments for local services including a grant of 1400 to the five Halton County branches of the Red Cross, and 400 to the regimental band. The council also discussed school pupil attendance at April meetings and debated reform ideas for provincial governance.

Friendly Circle Hosts Ladies From Neighboring Churches

The Friendly Circle of the United Church entertained visiting ladies from the Haptic Presbyterian and Anglican churches. Roy Johnston led devotion, readings were shared, songs performed, and Miss Bennett spoke on happiness. Guests split into groups for games, a buffet supper followed.
