Halton County oversubscribed its quota with 120.60 percent of 1,450,000 while the 1942 loan neared 1,949,200. Acton Burlington Georgetown Milton Oakville Campbellville led locally, with Acton reaching 175,100 toward a 170,000 goal, Milton 275,150 and Oakville the largest subscriptions.

He traced cooperative industries from their late nineteenth century origins to Nazi changes and noted Denmark's finances and pacifism before praising Canada and predicting European peace after the war. Rear End Smash Injures Two Near Acton
Gordon Alfdeen and Harvey Fisher, both of Ospringe, suffered injuries when their car was struck from behind by a tractor on the highway east of Acton Tuesday night near Mr D D Morrison’s farm. The collision drove in the rear of the car. Dr W G Kenney treated them and they were taken home. Constable Reevely investigated.

Eramosa township council met at Rockwood Town Hall with Reeve Gray and counselors. The auditor's January February report was accepted. A rent plan for the Town Hall was approved: 30 dollars per heated meeting and 2 dollars per unheated meeting.
