The Halton Union Farmers Mutual picnic at Stanley Park June 1 was sparsely attended due to rain. A baseball game between Hillsburg and Erin boys drew a large audience, with Wallace Lasby chaired the event and Gillanders spoke on mutual insurance and education. The Highland Pipe and Drum Band entertained. William Overland won fifth in the Old Time Fiddlers Contest, and Miss Margaret MacDonald won first in Highland dancing.
