Acton Park hosts a three part Community Night featuring Jan Rubes and Dean Prentice headlining along with ethnic dance groups, flag displays from 80 nations, and booths for children's activities to raise funds for a new school for retarded children at Hornby. The event includes radio and TV stars, a concert by Acton Citizens' Band, and a stereo prize drawing. Volunteers prepare booths, demonstrations, and dancing areas as crowds gather in the park.

About 12 experienced organ builders will move, joining designers and builders of church pipe organs established in London since 1948. Knox Presbyterian Church elected six new elders at an ordination service Sunday morning. The new appointees are Clarence Cates Norman Elliote Wilman Near Kenneth Mann and Harry Murray. Howard Coles was inducted into the Kirk Session joining Murray Coles and two of Coles sons on the board. The Kirk Session now includes Murray Coles and two Coles sons Clarence and Howard A Mann and his son Kenneth. Liquor Outlet Planned for Acton This Fall
Brigadier J G Sproggene of the Ontario Liquor Control Board says a liquor outlet will be established in Acton this year with construction starting in a month and openings planned for October. The board purchased the Queen Street East land formerly owned by J J Stewart next to Grants Motors for 13 500. The planning board was informed of zoning changes from residential to commercial after a year of application, with the site previously under option for a Dairy Queen Drive In.
