Halton County Judging Competition Held June 10 1933
The 1933 Halton County judging competition included Domestic Science and Live Stock and Seed judging. Fifty two young women entered Domestic Science and fifty two young men entered Live Stock and Seed judging. Inquest Opens Into John Collins Death at Acton
A May 17 1933 inquest in Acton Ontario presided by Coroner Dr J A McNiven heard Crown Attorney W L Dick. Witnesses including Mrs Collins and Annie Collins described a fatal stabbing at the Collins home with two stab wounds and a bruised nose. The jury returned a verdict of death from a stab wound to the heart, ruled likely personal safety related.
