Welcome Home Veterans Return From Overseas Service
Last Tuesday Acton families welcomed home two men refurnishing from overseas service Bergt. Wm. Eliott served five years overseas and Cpl. W. Buchanan returned after a period abroad They were passengers back to Canada on the Aquitanta.

Oil Stove Explosion Confined to Room of Bennetts
An oil stove exploded at the Bennetts residence on Crescent Street causing a brief alarm. The Acton Brigade arrived quickly, and damage was limited to the walls near the stove. Fire alarms sounded and onlookers gathered as the blaze was controlled.
