Demolition at the Robert Little public school revealed a treasure chest from 1892 containing four newspaper copies including the Acton Free Press and Toronto papers, plus coins dated 1685 1888 and 1691. The parchment signed by George Hynds and H P Moore details the $4 789 building cost and heating.

Two Acton teens Injured in Rockwood Crash Near Guelph
Darlene Lambert 19 and Patricia Moyse 16, both of Acton, were hurt when a car driven by Beverly Weatherstone 20 went out of control on a curve near Rockwood. Lambert suffered a broken back and chest injuries, Moyse had a fractured pelvis and leg injuries. Mary McIntyre 20, also from Acton, and three male passengers received minor injuries. Lambert remained in serious condition while Moyse improved from critical.
