Richard Cook Shot Fatally in Michigan

Richard Cook of Acton, a Grand Rapids resident for years, died at Todgett hospital after being struck by a stray bullet during a Monday night shooting. He leaves a widow and four children. two teens detained were later released with rifles confiscated. Funeral held at Leuthany Reformed Church following Trinity Methodist Church fire.

Funeral for Angus McTavish After Workplace Death

Angus McTavish, a Nassaguwoya man employed by the Bell Telephone Company, was electrocuted at Port Credit while assisting a Toronto to Hamilton line project. He died aged 56, survived by two daughters, with a funeral held at his residence and interment at Fairview Cemetery after services led by J C Wilson and F A conducted in Toronto and nearby communities.
