The Acton Junior Farmers met at Lome School on May 30 with Dirk Van Googen as chair. Dorothy Ewers sang twice and Donald Van Goosen performed two songs. Guest speaker Mr. Glover from the Ontario Reformatory spoke on home improvements and plant placement, followed by Chris Robinson of Guelph showing pictures of city beautification efforts. He recalled World War I veterans and Christ Street Hospital staff, urged national duty, and praised Canada.
