Six Halton municipalities held a dress rehearsal for the Mutual Fire Aid system in Milton under Chief F Shaw and Deputy Chief A E Clement. About 36 firefighters tested water relay across 3,300 feet of hose and six trucks, pumping from a pond to six towns for a four and a half minute cycle.

70 Pupils To Start In School Addition
Acton's new Public School addition will open next September with at least 70 pupils in kindergarten. Three classes are planned two in the morning and one in the afternoon. Mothers and children will be invited later to outline the term for the school nurse and possible inspection of facilities. The Windelseerten section forms a complete unit with its own facilities and separate entrance. Some parents may still have unregistered eligible children and are urged to register.
