The Board of Trustees met on Tuesday evening and mourns the death of Edward Hoare Eeq, praising him as an active, upright and worthy friend of education. Present were Messrs W. I. Storey (chair), Henderson, S. Moore, M. Speight and Alex Lasher as they expressed their deep regret and respect for the late member.
Monday evening the Court of Revision met and adjourned to the 7th inst. Reeve Christie and council members discussed extensions for appeals. Last meeting minutes were confirmed. A £3.00 monthly grant to John Sc Page continued through July and August. Accounts totaling 89.96 were approved for payment. Street work on Frederick and Queen streets was recommended. A cemetery committee reported efforts to secure parcels for a view to zoning and rates. council adjourned to meet again next week.

Eramosa Township Council met at the Centre on May 26. Council approved refunds for a dog tax and authorized road and bridge improvements south of the Erin road and north of the same road. Committees appointed for contract work, statute labor permitted, and clerk allowed July leave with duties covered. The meeting adjourned to August 1 at the Centre.
