Acton Council on Tuesday moved the community centre plan three steps closer. They approved hiring engineer J A Locke to dismantle and install a new Carling system for 12 000 to 13 000 and contract costs around 14 000. A 60 ton refrigeration unit from Caring Breweries at 3 000 plus a tender process for engineering drawings and specifications were authorized. Also approved was two emergency radios for EMS and fire departments funded by the County and EMO with maintenance to be decided. Park closure over sewage blamed for Willow Park shutdown
Willow Park in Norval closed Sunday afternoon for the first time in 20 years due to alleged sewage pollution from untreated runoff.
