Lightning Kills Two Men on Acton Farm in Field Shelter
A Tuesday morning thunderstorm near Acton killed John F. Robertson well known farmer and breeder of Yorkshire hogs and Dorset horned sheep, and his helper Reginald Fenner. They were found dead beneath cedars after seeking shelter from the lightning while harvesting wheat. Robertson was a district Agricultural leader and former Acton Full Fall director and president. Fenner, active in local youth and church groups, had lived in Canada with Robertson's family. Cleanup and condolences follow as authorities investigate the fire loss at a nearby unoccupied house that same evening.
