Acton Foal Club Demonstrates Draft Horse Judging
The Acton Foal Club and Executive Committee met at Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Pearen’s farm with Milton’s J. B. Whitelock supervising. W Staples of Guelph’s O.A.C. led a draft bone judging demonstration and spoke on general tips for horse care. The group judged four mares, Messia Mole and Douglas, under Mrs. Whitelock’s guidance, with recent O.A.C. graduates validating the judgments. The club plans a pavilion exhibit at the Acton Fall Fair and enjoyed lunch afterward.

A. B. Root and daughter Marion of Rockwood suffered minor injuries when their car turned over in a ditch on the Kitchener Guelph highway one mile east of Breslau. Root sustained a fractured nose and facial lacerations. Marion felt shock. They continued to Windsor with friends after treatment.

Georgetown started strong but Acton showed more experience, more hits, and better all around play despite a very young opponent. A separate Oakville game Tuesday ended without a clear winner as Joe Mitchell injury delayed play and a replay decision rested with the Executive.
