Local notices show church services led by Rev. A. G. Btawart at Knox Church and M. A. Manuo widow widower’s meeting at Acton Minietar. Details remain fragmentary but indicate regular Sunday worship and associated gatherings.
The Acton area reports a busy week of social visits and travels. Toronto and Guelph residents, including Mrs. Andrew Anthony and Mr. Earl Smith, spent time with Acton friends, while several families planned motor trips to Niagara Falls and Meaford. The Chamber of Commerce helped Creber Vrow relocate its wholesale monument works from Toronto to Acton. A brick plant will be built on the Breed Cooper lot at Queen and Co tracks with an electric crane to move rough stone from rail to workshop. An outdoor United Church Sunday School picnic at Blue Springs drew a large crowd on favorable weather. A man identified as a fugitive from justice made restitution and received a suspended sentence after a June theft involving an automobile. He was never apprehended and later surrendered to a court in a related incident. The automobile was recovered shortly after the theft and the defendant faced costs and penalties tied to the case.

The County Council met on Tuesday amid heated discussions over taxation, hospital charity allocations, and road and building projects. Officials reviewed appropriations for towns, heating of county buildings, and ongoing court actions while debating equalization of assessments and future expenditures.
