An American couple’s inquiry and a six by three foot coffin pit near a tomb on Bronte Street sparked police questions. The Thomas H. Thompson grave, dated 1854, may have been relocated or misidentified as early records contradict the stone. The 1937 burials show fresh headstones while cemetery origins date to 1860 leaving Thompson’s final resting place uncertain.
