Thieves smashed a large plate glass window at Don Bestons Jewellery in Blore in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday. They fled with about $700 in watches, jewelry, and glassware, seen by Mrs Bruce Shormakes and others as they escaped toward Church Street. Police noted a car likely parked nearby and recovered fragments along John Street. Clergy at St Josephs church in Guelph consulted after the break in.

No Injuries In Two Car Crash Near Highway Junction
Four occupants escaped injury in a late night collision near the Seventh Line and No 7 highway north of the CNR tracks. The southbound driver Frank Angelo of Bank of Nova Scotia and his wife faced minor damage. the northbound driver Wieming Frestensen of Limahune and passenger Helge Prigaard suffered lighter to heavier vehicle damage. Two Hour Program For Fresh Air Fund
