Milton hosts 2600 Orange Order members from 38 lodges for a Glorious Twelfth celebration with a 1.30 pm parade through Milton led by fife and drum bands from Preston Guelph Oakville and Acton. Attending dignitaries include Dr. R.K. Anderson MP and Oakville MPP George Hillmer with athletic events and prize awards at the fair grounds.

Sworn in at Government House are Perley as Secretary of State, Bennett as Finance, Patenaude as Justice, Guthrie as National Defence, Stevens as Customs, Tolmie as Agriculture, Black as Railways, Manson as Postmaster, Charmin as Trade, Rychman as Public Works, Jones as Labour, with Drayton Sutherland Morand and MacDonald as without portfolio. Interior Mines Indian Affairs Marine Immigration Health and Solicitor General left vacant for now. Interior to go to Saskatchewan and two more to Quebec.
The United Church Sunday School held its annual picnic at Huttonville Park with a large turnout. Transportation by auto and a special Canadian National Electric Railway coach ensured smooth arrival plus a printed program guided sport contests for children and adults.
Hon George S Henry announces provincial highways will be designated stop streets giving right of way to travellers on the trunk road. Intersecting minor roads must stop when approaching the main road from either direction until stop signs are installed. Public warned forthcoming.
