Three car crash on highway leaves one dead and six injured
An 83 year old Halton Centennial Manor resident, Charles Robert Allen, was killed when a three car pile up on the highway near Spry hill and Tangmere Mushroom Farm involuntarily skidded on ice. Morley Allen, 48, and his passenger were injured along with three other people including Phyllis Heatley and her young daughter Julie. The Milton OPP detachment reported the incident as the first fatality of 1969 and are continuing the inquest into the crash.
