Dr Robert Buchner spoke on mental health and taxpayer costs at Acton Rotarians. He praised Britain's voluntary hospital admissions and noted many people rely on mental health care across hospitals. The meeting also prepared 2,000 Easter Seals envelopes for the annual drive.

Acton police reported two weekend incidents with no serious injuries. A Friday night crash on North Main Street near the town line left Frank Brown of Milton with a overturned car and about 350 dollars in damage. The next morning two cars collided at Queen and Young Streets causing 600 dollars in damage. drivers were Nicholas Betzler of Kitchener and Glen Stringer of Milton. Slippery roads were blamed for both mishaps.
Three Acton men appeared in a brief Magistrate's Court sitting on Wednesday. One man was convicted of impaired driving and fined $50 plus $20 costs with a three month license suspension.
