Knox Sunday School Honors Retiring Officers With Mementos
At Knox Sunday School last Sunday afternoon two retiring officers were presented with tokens of appreciation. The Liquor-Control-Board of Ontario reported for the year to October 31 1931 a net trading profit of 7 627 581 on gross trading profit of 10 292 999 with total sales of 45 835 710 down from 52 283 001 last year. Domestic spirits dropped 11 percent and imported spirits 25.9 percent while beer sales fell 7.19 percent.

Tragic Farm Death in Trafalgar Township
In Trafalgar Township farmer Gordon Feather was found dead by hanging in his shed on his farm on Saturday. An inquest was deemed unnecessary. Albert Hubble, who pleaded guilty to taking a motor car without owner consent, was sentenced to two months in county jail at Police Court. He had borrowed a farm vehicle owned by a Guelph woman for whom he worked. Magis trate Wabts commented that such offences are becoming too common.

Failure of air brakes on a Guelph street car caused a crash at the college freight siding. Motorman Robert Whetstone was injured while passengers from Macdonald Institute fled shaken.
