Booster Night At Arena Showed Grand Hockey Pageantry
A Booster Night at Acton Arena featured a full hockey program with nearly a hundred players in uniform from youth to junior levels and a grand parade. The Buffalo Lorenzo Hockey Club played to a 4 4 tie with Acton as Sy Apps and Turk Broda refereed. Miss Mary Young Bride To Be Feted At Shower

Former Minister Rev J M Moyer Dies at 81
Retired United Church of Canada minister and former Ontario Temperance Federation director Rev Isaac M Moyer died Sunday at his daughter’s home in Vineland Station near Hamilton. He was 81 and had served 42 years in ministry, including 25 years in Acton. He later worked on the United Church pensions board and chaired Niagara Presbytery. Survived by his daughter and a brother, William H H of Woodstock. His wife died in 1929.
