Hauptmann Found Guilty in Lindbergh Kidnapping Trial
Bruno Richard Hauptmann was convicted of the Lindbergh kidnapping and murder of Baby Charles A. Lindbergh Jr. The jury found him guilty after deliberating since 11:15 a.m. and the court set an upcoming execution date in the week beginning March 16. The indictment asserts Hauptmann planned and executed the crime solo with no known accomplices.
