A Knox Church choir hosts an annual aleighlag gathering with Rev Stewart and Rev Pooly at the Manse. Following services at Knox and United churches urged total abstinence and prohibition. A Milton factory push and a fatal dog poisoning case in Guelph are noted amid local notices and river-crossing incidents.
The Ontario Commission's thirteenth power bill was received by the local Public Utilities Commission and credited locally with 1381.58 from the year's operation plus 14.08 interest. Expenditures listed include telephone, lighting, supplies, printing, and transport. The commission moved to apply credits and seek tenders for a used ton truck, with bids due February 25.
The seventh annual concert and dance for Acton employees of the Hewetson Shop Company drew strong crowds with acts including The Maple Leaf Forever, a duet My Blue Heaven, Rigby Crocs in drag, and a two act play Tom and Sally. The Sympathy Orchestra performed, solo and duet numbers followed, and a camp scene closed the program. A social hour with lunch and dancing capped the evening, under conductor Joe Whitham and floor manager Mr. Davidson.
