Boy Found Starved in Elm Tree Near Bristol

A ten year old boy living with his parents near Bristol was found starving and frozen in the hollow of an old elm tree after wandering away from home. He claimed he left after losing his school-money and was pushed into water by strange boys, surviving six days and nights in the tree before rescue. He was taken to the workhouse and described as skeletal, receiving care from a nurse and his parents insist the child had no reason to run away.
