Acton resident Don Schroeder won in the Dominion Contest, submitting both indoor and outdoor photos featuring his son Richard. Major J Anderson Appointed Senior Chaplain for Canadian Army
Major J Anderson, longtime minister at Knox Presbyterian Acton, named senior chaplain for the Canadian Army in Korea. Born in Edinburgh, he studied at Wesleyan and Knox colleges and has served three years as chaplain at the Ordinance Depot Langue, Quebec. On December 13 CG IT girls held a Christmas reaper service in Georgetown. December 18 they visited sick and shut ins of United Church, carols were sung, treats shared, hot lunch enjoyed, and gifts exchanged. Some girls joined the SS concert on December 27 and attended Rockwood CGLT vesper service. new year plans are under way.
