Christmas Party Ends Busy Year for Daughters of Knox
Members of the original Daughters of Knox met in September to plan for October and November. They met twice monthly at the Ladleo Parlor, with Miz Moran leading sightings, focusing on church needs, missionary stories, and supports to Canadian Presbyterian projects. They held five meetings, studied India’s village life, sold calendars, aided the minister’s room, cleaned classrooms, decorated the tree, donated books, delivered church envelopes, and closed the year with a Moran family Christmas party and devotional service on December 27.

The executive includes several local clergy and delegates from congregations. A travelogue on Australia and scripture translation work was shown, and carols performed by Acton Band members. The annual report noted over $130 contributed to the Bible Society this year. Personal notices list numerous Christmas-week visitors and local residents with holiday gatherings and travels.
