Acton Set To Enter Intermediate Hockey This Season

Christmas Program At So Ed Club Meeting
The So-Ed Club of Knox Presbyterian Church held a Christmas themed gathering last Wednesday. Miss Isabel Anderson presided as Group Four led by William Mainprize with devotions by Miss Marguerite Roszell and Mrs F S Blow. The audience sang carols with Mr FE A Hansen on piano and Misses Aileen McIsaac Betty Masters singing Holy Night while William Burton performed a solo. A film Merry Christmas and readings of Dickens Christmas Carol were enjoyed. Plans were announced for a congregational Christmas party to assemble gifts for the needy. Tea and Christmas cakes were served.

Lakeside Chapter 1 C D B E held a Christmas gathering in the Legion Rooms on Tuesday December 6. The treasurer reported a successful bazaar and ten collars were donated for a wedding gift to Princess Izabeth. Three new members joined the chapter as donations to the Shipping Fund and workroom were noted. The evening featured games, a Scrooge story, carols, gifts, and a lunch with a solo by Mrs C Leishman.
