Glen Williams a Historic Village in Halton County
Glen Williams in Halton County sits beside the River Credit about 1.5 miles from Georgetown. The article traces its origins from 400 acres bought by Muirhead of Niagara Falls to Benajah Williams and Elizabeth, founder Squire Charles Williams, and the Williamsburg period. It chronicles woollen mills, glove works, fires, Sykes and Ainsley ownership, and notable buildings, including churches, hotels, stores, and the Eaton connection at Lyon's store where Timothy Eaton began.
