Prominent Acton Citizen M. R. Moore Dies at 111
Mrs. M. R. Moore, 11 year Acton Public School staffer and Director of Music, died last Friday after a brief illness. A beloved educator and community worker, she led the schools musical program from primer to high school and guided church and civic efforts. Survived by her aged mother and brother, funeral held at Knox Presbyterian Church with interment at Fairview Cemetery.

Tragic Farm Accident Claims Erin Township Teen
Allan A. McLean sixteen year old son of Mr and Mrs Donald McLean of Erin Township died after being injured while unloading harvest at their lot 4 concession 6 home. A rope weight struck him on the head as a sling returned from the rack. He died hours after being admitted to Guelph General Hospital. He leaves parents one brother Lloyd and two sisters Helen. Funeral services were held at Ballinafad United Church with private home rites and burial at Fairview Cemetery Acton.
